This simple, warming and aromatic herbal tea can be made at home easily. It is a wonderful tonic for digestion and can help to settle upset stomachs. This is something I also recommend to pregnant mamas who are experiencing morning sickness and ongoing nausea. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Freshly crushed ginger
- Generous squeeze of lemon or lime
- Shredded mint leaves
Combine these in a large mug and muddle together (i.e. crush a little bit), then pour over boiling water and leave to steep for 5-10 minutes. You can strain before drinking, but I prefer leaving all the ‘bits’ floating around in my tea. Do what suits you.
